As I’ve mentioned before, I love fall. I love hunkering down at home to craft, bake, read and drink warm beverages. I love crisp walks and jumping in piles of leaves. I love the sensations of fall: the brilliant smells and colors. The last two years I’ve felt too busy to stop and savor the seasons. To pause long enough to be intentional about how I want to enjoy the season that is at hand. One of the things I often told myself while I was working was, “once I’m done working, THEN I’ll be able to build a sense of magic around the seasons.” One way I’m going to start doing that is by making seasonal bucket lists. - Drink too many pumpkin spiced lattes
- Knit a scarf
- Bake up a batch of pumpkin granola
- Decorate with hanging leaves
- Enjoy fall crafts with Auden
- Celebrate Martinmas and make a leaf lantern
- Bake sweet potato fries
- Have an equinox Party
- Go apple picking–then make apple butter and apple sauce with said apples
- Make Leaf prints
- Wear sweaters and hand warmers and scarves
- Bake apple zucchini muffins
- Jump in a pile of leaves
- Decorate a pumpkin
- Make a Thankful Tree
- Bake pumpkin scones and pumpkin chocolate-chip muffins
- Vote for Obama
- Sit around a fire on a crisp night and have a fall picnic
